Location: St John Fisher Primary School, Merton
Hours of Work: 20 hours per week, 39 weeks a year (term time), Monday to Friday, 2.30pm to 6.30pm (Additional hours may be available during half term holidays)
Hourly Salary: £7.75 per hour – £8.25 per hour (Depending upon Qualification)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Playworker to be part of the Children and Family Work Department, which provides high-quality childcare and play opportunities at St John Fisher Primary School. The Afterschool Club provides a place for children to come and play, explore, build on friendships and enjoy the outdoors.

It is essential to have some knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage; knowledge of child development and key stages; basic health and safety and the action that should be taken in respect of suspected abuse, experience of working with 4 to 11 year olds; experience of working in a team environment; be able to provide a safe, fun environment for children through a range of appropriate activities and play opportunities to meet the needs of diverse groups and to be able to communicate with parents or carers. It would be beneficial to hold a Level 2 Qualification in Playwork or Childcare and to have experience providing constructive and stimulating play for children.
