Assistant Fitness and Wellbeing Advisor (Bank Staff)

YMCA St Paul’s Group (SPG) emerged from the coming together of four separate Associations over an 18-month period. The group is largest YMCA in Europe and one of the largest providers of supported housing in London and beyond providing a safe place to stay for over 1,200 residents each night.

The role

This role is based at our main hostel in Walthamstow (with some travel to other YMCA SPG sites), reporting to the Area Health and Wellbeing Manager. The postholder will be expected to deliver exceptional customer service and help members reach their individual goals. This will include assisting the Advisors with delivering inductions and gym based activities as well as maintaining high presence on the gym floor and completing sales tours and price presentation with prospective members.

Applicants should have:

  • Experience of working or volunteering in the Leisure and Fitness industry
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • Ability to produce reports and present work analytically
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

It is beneficial for applicants to have a Level 2 Gym Instructor Qualification.
