Shift Pattern: Various hours of work (Rota basis, including weekdays, evenings, weekends and public holidays)
Salary: £ 8.65 per hour

YMCA London South West and YMCA East London have merged. This new organisation which is called YMCA St Paul’s Group has resulted in a growing presence across South, South West and East London. The Association is part of the affiliated YMCA Christian Movement, offering opportunities to young people and their communities to develop in mind, body and spirit in order to fulfil their potential.
During these exciting times for the association, we are seeking a Catering Supervisor for our Café at YMCA White House. We are looking for a Catering Supervisor to lead, train and supervise a team of Catering Assistants to ensure the smooth running of the café and conferencing facilities; ensure the provision of a high quality, customer focused, catering service; maximise income and customer satisfaction and to build connections with groups and businesses within the local community.
It is essential to have an understanding of food hygiene and health and safety issues in a catering environment; knowledge of special diets; experience of preparing food; experience of cash handling and credit card transactions; experience of providing a service to the public and supervising staff; to be able to provide direction and on the job training to other staff and to have good verbal communication skills. It would be beneficial to hold a current Food Hygiene Certificate; to have worked in the catering industry; to have good written communication skills and to be able to learn and take on new responsibilities.
