We’ve a wide range of events held at YMCA White House. It’s an opportunity for the community to come together and share their passions, talents and knowledge.
Art Exhibition and Sale
12 & 13 October, 11am – 4pm
Entry £1, children under 16 go free
The White House annual art exhibition and sale is from 11am to 4pm and will exhibit work from both the Tuesday and Thursday art groups. Paintings by talented local artists will be in acrylics, watercolours and oils, some of which will be for sale.
There will be a raffle and tombola on both days as well as refreshments by the YMCA.

Walks with YMCA White House, Hampton
Our fortnightly walks start from YMCA White House, leaving promptly at 10am and returning mid-afternoon. They are free of charge and you will need to pay for your own expenses, such as transport and refreshments.
Richmond downstream to Kew Bridge – Thursday 10 October
Starting from Richmond we’ll walk over the Victorian Lock Bridge, then continue around Kew Gardens and past Syon Palace to Kew Bridge. After a coffee stop we’ll head home via bus routes 65 R70. Or maybe we’ll walk along the pretty Strand on the Green and catch a bus back from Chiswick Bridge.
About 3.5 – 4.5 miles. Flat.
Petersham to Kingston along the Thames – Thursday 24 October
We take the 111, then the 65 to The Dysart in Petersham, and join the Thames Path near Richmond. We walk upstream past Marble Hill House, Ham House, Eel Pie Island and Teddington Lock to YMCA Hawker where we stop for lunch. Then there’s a gentle stroll into Kingston to catch the 111 home.

Richmond Park & Isabella Plantation – Thursday 7 November
A pleasant climb through part of Richmond Park before a stroll round the lush Isabella Plantation. We’ll then cross the park to Pembroke Lodge for lunch together. After lunch we’ll go down the hill to catch a bus home.
About 4 miles. Mostly flat with some decline.
Thames upstream from Hampton Court – Thursday 21 November
We take the 65 to Hampton Court. Then we have a gentle and sometimes muddy walk along the Thames upstream. We walk until lunchtime at the riverside pub, The Weir. And then, after lunch there’s a bit more walking to the road before we catch the 461 bus to Hampton Court, and then the 111 bus home.
About 4 miles. Flat. Some possible mud.
Hampton Court to Kingston and back – Thursday 12 December
A pleasant walk from Hampton Court to Kingston and back. On the way, we stroll upstream along the river, and come back through Home Park. There is a toilet and café stop in Kingston, which is half way in to the walk. The 111 bus takes you to the start, which is also the finish. On our return to YMCA White House you are welcome to come into the café for a late lunch together.
