Want to learn how to be your best self with Creating Wellness? Be true to who you are, explore your emotions and rebalance your wellbeing? Our six-week Creating Wellness course is designed to do just that with movement, music and art. Our Release counselling team are on hand with a supportive, non judgemental environment to help you discover your creative ability. They are professional counsellors who know a thing or two about helping people reach their full potential.

You’ll take part in gentle yoga-based movements, sometimes chair-based depending on the group members’ abilities, where you can focus on stretching, breathing and relaxation. The Release team member will often recite a poem or play music to set a theme for each session. Themes vary but an example is reaching for hope from despair.

Making connections

Each week you’ll get to know other members who attend the course and be surprised at how much of a connection you build with each other. At the beginning of each session, you’ll talk about how your week has been and catch up with each other’s thoughts.

The art activity will vary each week with different  mediums like watercolour paints, pencils, stickers and stencilling. You will be amazed at what you achieve and how confident you become.

Creating Wellness sessions are funded by our Inclusive Lives project, which aims to offer activities to everyone in the community, irrespective of age or ability. The project celebrates and builds awareness of disability and mental health conditions.
