Get involved at YMCA Surbiton
Meet ups and more…
On the last Friday of every month we get together to enjoy a traditional two-course meal, entertainment, a raffle and some fun and friendship. All for just £8 a head.
Every Monday join us for coffee and games between 10am–12 noon at the YMCA Surbiton Community Café with Nicky or at our ‘Teapot’ event every Wednesday with Joyce between 2.30pm–4pm. Enjoy each other’s company and catch up on the week’s events.
We leave the YMCA centre promptly at 10am. Please wear appropriate clothing, especially footwear.
Wednesday November 7: The Mole Gap trail
The 465 bus takes us to Box Hill, where we start our walk along the River Mole over autumnal fields and woods, finishing in Leatherhead, where we lunch before taking the bus home. About 4 miles, some inclines and quite likely to be muddy.
Wednesday November 21: Prince’s Coverts
Once again the 465 bus takes us on our way, this time to Prince’s Coverts, then on through Great Oaks and into Claygate and lunch. About 3.5 miles, some slight inclines and probably muddy.
Wednesday December 5: Kew to Richmond
An interesting paved walk out about 5 miles with some steps, via Brentford Dock, Syon Park and the Thames Path. Travel by bus to and from, and with lunch in Richmond before heading home. Led by Brenda.
Wednesday December 19: Christmas lunch
Time for our traditional Wetherspoon’s Christmas lunch. If you would like to come along, please tell Linda who is going to book a table for us. This year we thought we would try the Wetherspoon’s in Kingston as there is rather more space there. meet at 12noon.
We shall meet again on Wednesday January 2, 2019 to resume our programme.
