YMCA West London’s mission is developing opportunities that transform young lives. The primary purpose of YMCA West London’s South Ealing Project is to provide high quality, holistic support and temporary housing accommodation with associated facilities for young vulnerable people to develop their personal and social skills sufficient for them to live independently from the YMCA in a sustainable way.
Every member of staff, therefore, has the support of residents as their primary purpose. The principle accountabilities of this post therefore flow from that premise. Our South Ealing Project comprises of 151 units housing vulnerable, homeless young people our residents can access a range of on-site support services to help them move on to accommodation of their own.
We are looking to appoint a dedicated and motivated Senior Night Support Manager for our Roxeth Gate hostel, reporting to the Housing Manager and responsible for 3 Night Support Officers.
The post holder will be expected to provide high quality, holistic support and temporary housing accommodation with associated facilities for young vulnerable people to develop their personal and social skills sufficient for them to live independently from the YMCA in a sustainable way and assist them to move on in a planned manner to more independent accommodation.
Applicants should have:
- Knowledge of the handling of emergency situations and working with emergency services
- Up to 1 year’s experience of night support work in a Supported Housing or Hostel setting
- Up to 1 year’s line management experience
