Contract: Bank (zero hours contract); 1.5 to 2 hours every fortnight
Salary: £50 per hour
YMCA St Paul’s Group (SPG) emerged from the coming together of four separate Associations over an 18-month period. The group is largest YMCA in Europe and one of the largest providers of supported housing in London and beyond providing a safe place to stay for over 1,200 residents each night.

This role is reporting to the Head of Counselling and responsible for any counsellors within their supervision. The postholder will be expected to provide a clinical supervisory service to Release as agreed with the Head of Counselling. This will include providing an inclusive learning environment that has an appropriate balance of support, challenge and educative elements for the supervisees. The postholder will also be responsible for arranging and conducting appraisals with all counsellors within their supervision group at 3 months, 6 months and annually thereafter.
Applicants should have:
- Experience of delivering community based counselling services.
- Experience of supervising counsellors/therapists across a range of theoretical modalities, and at different stages of their professional development.
- Knowledge of mental health issues.
- Counsellor/Therapist qualification and be a qualified Supervisor.
It is beneficial but not essential for applicants to have 3-5 years post qualifying experience, BACP accredited, UKCP registered or equivalent, and experience of working within the housing environment and with the impact of homelessness.
