Role: 2 Weekend Duty Support Officers
Location: 1 x Britwell (Slough); 1 x Greenford
Contract: Permanent; 14 hours
Salary: £6180.72 p.a
Role: 1 Evening Duty Support Officer
Location: South Ealing
Contract: Permanent; 37.5 hours
Salary: £18,603 (pro rata)
About the Organisation
YMCA West London’s mission is developing opportunities that transform young lives. The primary purpose of YMCA West London’s South Ealing Project is to provide high quality, holistic support and temporary housing accommodation with associated facilities for young vulnerable people to develop their personal and social skills sufficient for them to live independently from the YMCA in a sustainable way.
Every member of staff, therefore, has the support of residents as their primary purpose. The principle accountabilities of this post therefore flow from that premise.
About the role
These roles are based at YMCA Slough and YMCA South Ealing, reporting to a Senior Housing Support Officer. The post holders will be expected to provide high quality, holistic support and temporary housing accommodation with associated facilities for young vulnerable people to develop their personal and social skills sufficient for them to live independently.
Applicants should have:
- Knowledge of the handing of emergency situations and working with emergency services
- Knowledge of the security issues which arise in a residential setting
- Knowledge of the issues facing young vulnerable people
- Knowledge of basic reception duties
- Up to 1 years’ experience of night support work in a residential setting
- Up to 1 years’ experience previous line management experience
- Previous experience of working in the voluntary sector
- Experience of working with a vulnerable client group
