Contract:          Permanent; Full-time; 40 hours per week, occasional evening and weekend work

Salary:              £55,000 per annum

About the Organisation

YMCA St Paul’s Group (SPG) emerged from coming together of four separate Associations over an 18-month period. The group is the largest YMCA in Europe and one of the largest providers of supported housing in London, and beyond, providing a safe place to stay for over 1,200 residents each night.

About the role

This role is based at our Corporate office in Surbiton reporting to the Group Director of People and responsible for 3 HR Business Partners. The postholder will be expected to provide leadership across all parts of the Association and is responsible for leading on the provision of effective HR Business Support to YMCA St Paul’s Group. This will include providing a range of generalist HR expertise to the Directors and Managers within the Group. The postholder will also be responsible for building effective relationships across all business areas and to provide the “voice” of the business back to the Corporate HR function.

Applicants should have:

  • At least 5 years’ experience of working at Senior level within a complex organisation with multiple stakeholders.
  • At least 2 years’ experience of leading a team of professional HR practitioners.
  • Knowledge of Strategic Human Resource Management
  • Substantial knowledge of employment law and dispute resolution
  • Chartered Member of CIPD or equivalent educational achievement

It is beneficial but not essential for applicants to be able to demonstrate understanding of the key business areas in which the organisation operates and have a clear understanding of the environment in which the organisation exists.
