Two Nursery Assistant roles (one qualified and one unqualified) have become available in West London YMCA and we are looking for people who have excellent interpersonal skills and who take pride in working with Children. If this is you, we want to hear from you!
Location: South Ealing, West London
Contract: 45 hours (1 x Unqualified Maternity Leave Cover for 9 months and 1 x Qualified Permanent)
Salary: 1 x Qualified at £8.70 per hour and 1 x Unqualified at £8.29 per hour
About the Organisation
YMCA West London’s mission is developing opportunities that transform young lives. The primary purpose of YMCA West London’s South Ealing Project is to provide high quality, holistic support and temporary housing accommodation with associated facilities for young vulnerable people to develop their personal and social skills sufficient for them to live independently from the YMCA in a sustainable way. Every member of staff, therefore, has the support of residents as their primary purpose. The principle accountabilities of this post therefore flow from that premise.
About the role
We are looking for nursery assistants who have a passion to provide high quality programmes and work in partnership with parents/carers in an inclusive and enabling environement. To be successful in these role, you will respectfully value each child ensuring that all-round development needs are positively met. The children are aged between 6 months to 5 years old.
Applicants should have:
- Knowledge of the needs of children in a nursery environment
- Have knowledge of the safety/ welfare issues in a nursery environment
- Have knowledge of administration procedure in child care
- Experience working with 6 months to 5 years.
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness of diverse backgrounds
Requirements for the Qualified Nursery role:
- Level 3 in Early Years obtained before 01 September 2014 and no further qualifications required.
- Level 3 in Early Years obtained after 01 September 2014, must hold an ‘A’ to ‘C’ in Maths and English and a Pediatric First Aid certificate
