Contract: Fixed Term until July 2020, Part-Time; 27.25 hours per week during term time
Salary: £8.83 hourly

YMCA St Paul’s Group (SPG) emerged from the coming together of four separate Associations over an 18-month period. The group is largest YMCA in Europe and one of the largest providers of supported housing in London and beyond providing a safe place to stay for over 1,200 residents each night.

About the role
This role is based at Nursery Lands Pre-School in Hampton and reports to the Preschool Coordinator. The post holder will be part of a team delivering high quality care for children within the early years ensuring that they are meeting their developmental milestones. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining good working relationships with all children in the setting; contributing to the planning, both the setting’s themes and the children’s individual plans, to support the setting’s programme and children’s learning; and leading small group activities with specific children focusing on core areas of development.
Applicants should have:
- Minimum level 2 Early Years Work Force
- Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage
- Knowledge of EYFS Welfare requirements
- Experience of working with children aged 2-4
- The ability to plan effectively to meet the needs of children
- The ability to lead small group activities
It is desirable but not essential to have Level 3 Early Years Work Force – Early Years Educator; knowledge of additional needs; experience of working with children with additional needs; and experience of delivering outdoor play opportunities.
