Salary: £10.40 per hour

Contract: Permanent; full-time, 70 hours per fortnight (one week off, one week on, average 35 hours a week)

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and motivated Senior Night Support Manager for our West London Roxeth Gate hostel.


The post holder will be expected to provide high quality, holistic support and temporary housing accommodation with associated facilities for young vulnerable people to develop their personal and social skills in order for them to live independently. Our residents are young, single, homeless, and have a wide range of needs, including employment, education, mental health, offending, substance misuse.


The primary purpose of YMCA West London’s Roxeth Gate Hostel is to provide high quality, holistic support and temporary housing accommodation with associated facilities for young vulnerable people to develop their personal and social skills sufficient for them to live independently from the YMCA in a sustainable way and assist them to move on in a planned manner to more independent accommodation.


Every member of staff, therefore, has the support of residents as their primary purpose. The principle accountabilities of this post therefore flow from that premise.


The successful candidate will join a skilled team of Support staff, and will bring energy and enthusiasm to the post as well as a commitment to wanting to support residents and make a difference to their lives.


Ideally, we are looking for a person with previous experience in a similar role and an understanding of the social housing/charity sector would be advantageous.


Applicants should be prepared to lone work waking night shifts on a shift rota basis covering all the days of the week.


If you possess some experience of working in a similar role at a similar level of responsibility; possess good communication and relationship management skills; have experience of dealing with vulnerable groups and security issues associated with a residential setting and working with emergency services, we encourage you to apply to work with us.
