Job Title: Membership Administrator

Location: YMCA Wimbledon

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until March 2020

Hours of Work: 20 hours per week based on a rota Monday to Friday

Salary: £9,308 per annum

YMCA St Paul’s Group (SPG) emerged from the coming together of four separate Associations over an 18-month period. The group is largest YMCA in Europe and one of the largest providers of supported housing in London and beyond providing a safe place to stay for over 1,200 residents each night. As well as accommodation, education and training, the Association is focused on the transformation of communities through its 6+ Health and Wellbeing Centres, including an outdoor swimming pool and a wide range of Children, Youth and Family programmes including nurseries, after school clubs and soft play centres. Through the merger and accompanying new investment we expect the range, reach and impact of our services to grow so that we can better realise our vision.

Job Role

The postholder, reporting to the Health and Wellbeing Manager, will ensure that YMCA St Paul’s Group meets its aims and objectives by:

• Effectively maintaining all aspects of the membership database
• Dealing with administrative member correspondence
• Updating membership records
• Dealing with members’ and customers’ enquiries over the phone or face to face
• Ensuring the sales procedures are adhered to
• Assisting in promoting the health and wellbeing facilities
• Being involved in the growth and development of the department

To be successful in this position, you will have:
• Good knowledge of the Leisure/Health and Fitness Industry
• Knowledge of high quality customer care
• Worked in an environment providing a service to the public
• Experience of cash handling, credit card transactions and reconciling tills
• Worked with a range of computer software
