Shift Pattern: average 25 hours per week, working 5 nights on and 9 nights off. Wednesdays to Sundays, 9pm-7am, 10pm-8am and 11pm-9am shifts.

YMCA West London’s mission is developing opportunities that transform young lives. The primary purpose of YMCA West London’s Roxeth Gate Project is to provide high quality, holistic support and temporary housing accommodation with associated facilities for young vulnerable people to develop their personal and social skills sufficient for them to live independently from the YMCA in a sustainable way.

Every member of staff, therefore, has the support of residents as their primary purpose.  The principle accountabilities of this post therefore flow from that premise.

Our Roxeth Gate Project comprises of 42 units housing vulnerable, homeless young people our residents can access a range of on-site support services to help them move on to accommodation of their own.

As a night manager, you will be the first point of contact for residents and visitors. Responsible for the night to night security of the building, you will monitor the CCTV and conduct regular patrols of the building.  You will support and answer queries from residents and any issues that arise.  You will be responsible for keeping an accurate record of these in the communication book, and ensuring a thorough handover is communicated to other staff.   You will ensure that a high quality support service is maintained for residents during the night time hours.

To be successful in this role we are now looking for like-minded enthusiastic individuals with the necessary experience to take on this role you will:

    • Be customer focused, possess excellent customer service skills and you should have experience of working in a customer facing role, preferably within a reception environment or similar.
    • Experience of cash and payment handling is also essential
    • Knowledge of handling emergency situations is also essential
    • Have a high standard of accuracy and good communication skills
    • Be able to deal effectively with challenging situations
    • Be able to represent our service and the organisation
    • Good ICT skills
