Location: YMCA Surbiton
Contract: Fixed Term, 6 months from date of Joining.
Hours of Work: 8 hours per week, you will be expected to cover weekdays, weekends and bank holidays, early and late shifts.
Salary: £11.40 per hour

YMCA London South West, YMCA East London, YMCA Slough merged together with the amalgamation of YMCA West London. During these exciting times for the association, we are seeking a Night Support Worker who will be part of the wider Accommodation Department.The night staff are responsible for the smooth running of the hostel during out of hours, providing care, support and security to our residents and working closely with the Housing and Support team. You will have a clear understanding of problems facing homeless people and have experience of reception or front of house type service providing a warm welcome at the Centre; ensuring that the security of the building as well as the safety of the residents and short stay guests is Maintained.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of problems facing homeless people and homelessness issues; experience of report writing and incident reports; able to provide excellent customer service; possess good organisation skills and able to confront difficult situations and reconcile different viewpoints. Experience of providing support to people with a variety of needs, and experience of cash handling would be beneficial for applicants
