We have an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Cook at YMCA White House Centre.  We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual that has a passion for good food and catering, and to assist in maximising the catering business; and contribute towards our financial targets, including any waste is minimised. You will be working with the Chef, responsible in preparing simple home cooked meals, and a variety of cakes that are fresh and to a high standard throughout the day, ensuring correct customer orders are served.   The individual will ensure that catering for special events inspires and has healthy eating aspects; conducting stock takes; responsible for ensuring all health and safety procedure are carried out and the ‘Safer Food Better Business for Caters’ standards are up to date and carried out.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of special diets and food allergies; understanding of food hygiene and health and safety issues, hold level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate; experience of working in a catering position and producing a variety of meals.  It is essential for candidates to valid driving licence; be able to work well within team and strict deadlines. It would be beneficial if candidates have experience in cash handling and credit cards transactions.
