YMCA London South West, YMCA East London, YMCA Slough merged together with the amalgamation of YMCA West London. This new organisation which is called YMCA St Paul’s Group has resulted in a growing presence across South, South West, East London, West London and Slough in Berkshire.  The Association is part of the affiliated YMCA Christian Movement, offering opportunities to young people and their communities to develop in mind, body and spirit in order to fulfill their potential.

During these exciting times for the association, we are seeking a POD Host to be part of the team which provides high quality, safe and creative soft play sessions and parties to customers at YMCA Hawker. The Pod provides fun soft play for active under 8s. Open 7 days a week, it is available for play sessions, private hire and children’s parties.

We are looking for candidates who can: develop good relationships with users of The Pod; facilitate and host children’s parties; assist in the publicity, promotion and delivery of soft play and children’s parties; ensure that activities are inclusive to all; ensure that the soft play area is safe, clean, and ready for customers; provide an experience for users of The Pod that is of a high standard, with  exceptional customer service; assist in delivering activities for children under and over age 5 at YMCA Hawker.

It is essential that candidates have knowledge of: child development; disabilities which may affect children; Safeguarding; how to lead and facilitate play activities for children. Candidates are required to have experience of providing play activities and working with children and families in a professional setting, and should be able to: relate effectively with a wide range of people; provide a range of activities which meet the needs of diverse groups; lift heavy equipment, such as tables and chairs
