On Friday evening, YMCA St Paul’s hosted a mammoth virtual Sleep Easy event, and challenged participants to sleep anywhere but their bed for the night to raise awareness and funds for the thousands of young people who are made homeless each year.
We are so grateful to all of you that got involved and slept on sofas, floors, bath tubs and in gardens so others don’t have to. You have helped us raise £4,085 and the donations are still coming in!
This money will make such a huge difference and could
- provide 8 Resettlement Packages with furniture and essentials for residents moving out of our hostels and into their own home
- cover the start-up costs for college or job opportunities for 40 people
- buy 80 personal care and hygiene kits
If you haven’t donated yet, there is still time to do so – most people donate after the event! Every penny we have raised will go towards offering hope for our residents and young people who are affected by homelessness in our communities.
Just visit our fundraising page at Virgin Money Giving to donate.
Where do the funds go?
