About the role:

Housing and Support Officers at YMCA St Paul’s Group play a vital role in helping young and vulnerable people maintain stable accommodation and build independent lives. In your role, you will manage a caseload of residents, oversee tenancy and rent accounts, support residents through Outcome Star assessments and personalised action plans, and work proactively to prevent arrears, anti-social behaviour, and tenancy breakdowns. In your position, you will monitor wellbeing, provide practical and emotional support, advocate with external agencies, and ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met. Housing and Support Officers work closely with property, facilities, health and wellbeing, progression, and community teams to maximise engagement in education, training, employment, volunteering, and move-on opportunities. Through person-centred support and excellent customer service, they empower residents to achieve their goals and progress towards independent living. 

Key Responsibilities:

Housing and Support Officers provide housing management, tenancy sustainment, and person-centred support to residents. They monitor rent accounts, carry out assessments, promote wellbeing and safeguarding, manage anti-social behaviour, support independent living, facilitate move-on opportunities, and collaborate with partner agencies to help residents achieve positive outcomes. They also deliver excellent customer service while maintaining safe, welcoming, and inclusive housing environments.

As this role involves working with vulnerable members of society including regulated activity, a Basic, Standard or Enhanced Criminal Disclosure will be required following a conditional offer.
