You will emerge with the skills to create fun, safe and effective Pilates Reformer programming for all fitness levels!

You’ll spend 5 days in hands-on in-person workshops, learning key Pilates exercises and honing your teaching skills. You’ll also have access to the Balanced Body Education Platform for extra learning at your own pace from home.

A written theory test – including a combination of multiple choice and essay style questions
A practical teaching assessment or “Test Out”

This certification consists of successful completion of all three courses:
Day One – Movement Principles: The Pilates Essentials
Total 16 hours (8 hours in-person on DAY 1 and 8 hours online learning prior to Day 1)
This experiential course introduces the essential building blocks of the Pilates methodology. Instructors gain awareness of their own movement patterns and biases and learn how to train movement to optimise the body in motion and the stages for successful Pilates classes and sessions. Includes in-person and on-demand learning.

Day Two and Three – Reformer Level 1 for the Fitness Professional
Total 16 hours
Reformer Level 1 explores the limitless movement potential of the Reformer and teaches instructors how to safely utilise the Reformer in group settings. It provides the ‘why’ behind the ‘how’, empowering critical reasoning skills from the beginning of training. Students learn how to create effective group Reformer classes and how to cue the beginner and intermediate Pilates Reformer exercises. This module also reviews common modifications necessary for addressing individual member needs.
Day Four and Five – Reformer Level 2 for the Fitness Professional
Total 16 hours
Reformer Level 2 expands on Reformer movement with intermediate and advanced exercises that are appropriate and safe in the group environment. This course includes progressions, regressions, and more common modifications. It also explores programs for specific populations, including pre and post–natal clients, those with osteoporosis and lower back issues. Class design and dynamic assessment also included.

Meet your Educator – Zoe Watson
Zoe is a passionate and experienced Pilates professional with over 20 years of expertise in the world of movement and wellness. Specialising in both Reformer and Mat Pilates, Zoe has dedicated her career to helping individuals of all fitness levels achieve balance, strength, and flexibility through mindful movement.
As a Pilates Teacher, Zoe combines a deep understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, and movement science to create safe, effective, and innovative Pilates programs. Her approach blends traditional Pilates techniques with modern methodologies, ensuring a personalised experience that addresses the unique needs of each client.
As a devoted educator, Zoe has partnered with Balanced Body Education® to train aspiring Fitness Professionals in Group Reformer. With a focus on building strong foundations and encouraging continuous learning, Zoe is committed to helping both students and fellow instructors excel in their Pilates journey.
Known for her warm, approachable teaching style, Zoe believes that Pilates is for everyone, regardless of age or fitness level. Her classes emphasise mindful movement, proper alignment, and a deep connection between body and mind, empowering clients to move with confidence and ease.
When not teaching, Zoe is dedicated to expanding their own knowledge of movement through ongoing education and practice, staying at the forefront of the latest research and trends in Pilates and overall fitness.
