Children and Families Newsletter: December

Children and Families Newsletter: December

Welcome to the December issue of our monthly online newsletter for children and families, produced by the Children and Family Work team at YMCA St. Paul’s Group.

We help whole families to flourish. We have safe and trusted Early Years care and developmental activities, family support and mediation help when difficult issues arise at home or school, summer and school holiday camps, and activities that are just plain fun for everyone.

Take a look at the sections below to learn about what we will be up to across our various children and families services in December.

The children in the Butterflies group at Jumpers Nursery embraced their artistic talents to celebrate St. Andrew’s Day by creating their own representations of the Scottish flag.

Congratulations to Rhea Jutla, a winner at the YMCA Youth Matters Awards!

We are delighted to congratulate Rhea Jutla from the Children’s Work team on her incredible success at the YMCA Youth Matters Awards!

Rhea, a familiar face at Jumpers! Nursery, the Pod at YMCA Hawker, and Y Kidz at YMCA Hawker, has been recognised as Young Worker of the Year. This prestigious award celebrates her remarkable dedication and the positive impact she has made within our communities.

Rhea said: “It feels really nice to be recognised for the hard work that myself and everyone at the YMCA St Paul’s Group (SPG) puts in. It was an honour to represent children’s work and I am extremely grateful to the YMCA SPG for giving me this opportunity as well as many others. The YMCA SPG has and will always be special to me.”

Rhea received her award at a glitzy ceremony, where she was proudly accompanied by the senior Children’s Work team from YMCA St Paul’s Group.

Her passion, hard work, and commitment continue to inspire everyone around her. Please join us in celebrating Rhea’s well-deserved recognition!

Well done, Rhea – we are so proud of you!
