Welcome to The Pod; the soft play place for children to climb, jump, swing, balance and bounce whatever the weather.

Based at the YMCA Hawker in Kingston, The Pod is a two-storey soft play centre open five days a week for indoor play, private hire and children’s parties.

With activities and equipment for all ages up to 11, babies, toddlers and children can be active, use their imaginations and let off steam in a fun, safe environment while parents enjoy hot and cold drinks from our riverside café. The Pod has everything a child needs for an energetic, creative, interactive indoor adventure!

Sensory Room Open

We are delighted to announce that our newly refurbished sensory room is now open!

All sessions are walk-in only, customers pay at reception. No online booking.

  • Children – All ages £6.00 per child, this price includes one accompanying adult.

Please note that children must be supervised by an adult at all times whilst in the Pod.

All parties need to be pre-booked on MindBody, the YMCASPG booking app. Please set up an account first if you don’t have one.

What you need to know

  • The Pod is for children aged 11 and under
  • All children must wear socks
  • The Pod has a maximum capacity of 40 children
  • During this time, play will be limited to two hours
  • Please ensure there are enough adults to supervise your group safely. *We recommend a ratio of 1:4 adults to children.

What will The POD sessions look like for my child?

To help ensure the risk of virus spread is as low as possible we will be putting the following control measures in place to keep people safe and have this at the forefront of everything we do;

  • Social distancing will be encouraged at all possible times and we will have posters displayed on-site to remind staff, parents, and children of this information.
  • Customers are encouraged to wear a face mask in the soft play.
  • POD sessions have been reduced to a maximum of 25 children per session, and 1 adult per child.
  • The ball pit and sensory room will remain closed until further notice.
  • All high-touch surfaces will be cleaned at the end of each session.
  • There will be a good supply of hand gel and tissues available for each group. We will encourage the ‘catch it, bin it, kill it, approach, please could you do the same.

Will I be able to purchase food and drink?

Our café is open, serving a full menu. This will include hot meals, hot drinks, soft drinks, and snacks including crisps, and fruit.

How do I book my child’s place?

All sessions are walk-in only – no online booking is possible. Please pay at reception.

How much will a session cost

The set price per child is £6.00 The price includes1 free adult to attend too.
If you wish to bring along any additional adults they will be charged at £6.00
