The hostel comprises of 82 units with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. (12 are self-contained flats for homeless families).
All family units are self-contained and are fully furnished to a good standard with beds, wardrobe, dining table and chairs, microwave oven, sofas, fridge, washing machine and a cooker.
All single rooms are fully furnished to a good standard with a bed, wardrobe, computer desk and chair and bed linen. A shared kitchen is equipped with a microwave, toaster, washing machine, kettle and cooking utensils.
Ventura House is here to meet the short-term housing needs of residents. Our aims are to provide accessible accommodation, training, personal development, job search facilities and other essential services, together with community involvement and resettlement opportunities.
Facilities
Clients have access to a training room with PC’s and broadband internet access to help with job search, training, studying and life skills. There is also a lounge and TV which clients can use throughout the day.
Residents also have access to the YMCA Youth Programmes and Services based at the hostel which provides an internet café as well as training and life skills programmes.

The Housing Benefit award will help us to calculate a personal contribution.
For example if you are receiving universal credit, your Housing Benefit entitlement is £299.23 a week, and your personal contribution will be £16.19 per week.
Please note that Housing Benefit entitlement varies depending on personal circumstances such as working or other benefits entitlement. Therefore, when your Housing Benefit entitlement is changing, your personal contribution will also change accordingly to cover the weekly rent.
You are responsible for your full rent and therefore it is important to work with the housing support team to ensure your housing benefit is in payment.

YMCA Ealing Common
YMCA Ealing Common provides 26 self-contained flats to young people between the ages of 18-25 with low to medium support needs. It is conveniently located being within easy reach of Ealing Broadway Station and shopping centre which is a 5-minute walk and Ealing Common Station which is a 2-minute walk. Buses stop directly outside the hostel.
Facilities
All rooms are fully furnished to include a bed, wardrobe, table, chair, kitchen with fridge/freezer and cooker and bathroom with toilet, sink, and shower unit. Two rooms specifically cater for disabled residents.
Other facilities: Resident Lounge,laundry room, Computers in the training room, Reception, and private secure garden.

YMCA Roxeth Gate
Roxeth Gate hostel is a three storey building situated next to Christ Church Roxeth on Roxeth Hill. It is conveniently located within a short distance of all local amenities including shops and public transport.
The hostel comprises of 42 flats, of which 28 are studio flats (two studio flats specifically cater for disabled residents) with shared bathroom facilities and 14 are one-bed flats.
All rooms are fully furnished to include a bed, wardrobe, table and chairs. They each have their own kitchen fully equipped with cooking appliances and utensils, where residents are expected to prepare and cook their own meals.
Facilities
Residents have shared access to a laundry room located on the ground floor.
A resident’s lounge provides comfortable seating, television, work out equipment and a ping pong table. A training room is also on site providing computers with various software packages and internet access.

Rent at YMCA Roxeth Gate is currently £326.60 a week for a studio flat and £336.68 for a 1 bed flat.

YMCA Greenford

YMCA Greenford
YMCA Greenford is registered with Ofsted and we are able to house 16- and 17-year olds Care Leavers.
Greenford is a 13 single bed hostel. All the flats are fully- furnished to a high standard with a bed, wardrobe, desk, dining table and chairs.
All flats have their own kitchens furnished with all white goods.
The rooms are furnished and there is a 24 hour staffed reception.
All flats are complemented by a shared laundry room, Common room, IT suite and garden.

YMCA Parson’s Green
YMCA Parsons Green is a hostel situated in the heart of west London. It offers 27 single rooms to men and women over the age of 21 in a universal setting, close to the centre of the capital. As a YMCA, we believe that you should have a safe place to stay. Homelessness affects many different people from all walks of life, and in London homelessness is on the increase.
YMCA Parsons Green residents
YMCA Parsons Green is a non-supported hostel with a weekly rent charge of £189.30 payable by the resident. Others come via referral agencies or are self referrals.
Each landing at YMCA Parsons Green hostel has a modern shared bathroom and shared kitchen facilities, so that residents are able to cook for themselves and get together.
Referral agencies can apply to YMCA Parsons Green using this form. The hostel building was given to YMCA back in the 1980s by philanthropist David Ensor.
Most of the residents work part time whilst studying, and they also share a ground floor communal room with settees and a piano, so they can chat and relax with friends and other residents.

YMCA Hanwell consists of 41 flats each with their own kitchens. There are 22 self-contained flats, out of these self-contained flats, 10 are in the mother and baby unit.19 flats are bedsits with shared bathroom facilities.

YMCA Northolt Grange
YMCA Northolt Grange is a short-term supported housing scheme where housing and support are provided as an integrated package, specifically providing supported accommodation to single mothers aged 16-21 and their baby.
The hostel comprises of 10 units which provide supported accommodation to single mothers aged 18+ and their baby. 1 unit has been adapted through-out for disabled use. All units are self-contained flats comprising of a bathroom, kitchen, living room and bedroom. All flats are fully furnished to a good standard with a bed, cot, wardrobe, sofa, fridge, cooker, kitchen utensils and bedding.
Facilities
Communal facilities include a computer training room, residents lounge with TV and DVD player, a Wii fit, a laundry room, garden and outside parking.
Northolt Grange is staffed Monday to Friday from 9am-9pm. The staff team comprises of a Housing Manager, a Support Worker and a Cleaner.

Phase 1:
Phase 1 comprises of 13 bed-sits with shared bathroom facilities and each room is equipped with a bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, table, chairs, bed linen, fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave oven, sink and cooking hob. One room has been especially adapted for disabled use and has its own bathroom.
Phase 2:
Phase 2 comprises of 10 studio flats and each room is equipped with a bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, table, chairs, bed linen, fridge, kettle, toaster, sink, oven and hob. All rooms have their own bathroom facilities. 2 rooms have been specially adapted for hearing impaired users.
Facilities
All residents have access to an IT room equipped with PC’s and broadband internet access to help with job search, training, studying and life skills. There is also a resident’s lounge with TV, DVD player, Nintendo Wii and board games which residents can use throughout the day. There are two washing machines available to use throughout the day.
The project is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year. The staff team comprises of a Housing Manager, 2 Housing Support Officers, 3 Weekend Duty Support Officers, 4 Night Support Managers, 2 Duty Support Officers and a Cleaner.

Rent at YMCA Uxbridge is currently £389.85 a week in Phase 1 and £401.54 a week in Phase 2.

YMCA Slough

YMCA Slough
Set in the heart of the community in Chalvey, YMCA Slough provides temporary accommodation for up to 45 vulnerable young people aged between 18 and 35. Residents can stay up to two years while they get back on their feet, supported by our staff. Young people are usually referred to us by Slough Borough Council and we work hard to meet their needs.
Pheonix House in nearby Britwell provides a home to 10 vulnerable young people aged 16-17 who are coming out of looked-after care.

Chalvey hostel
Chalvey Hostel provides support and high quality accommodation to young vulnerable adults aged between 18 and 35. There are 45 rooms, out of which 33 are self-contained and specifically designed for independent living with kitchens, but with support still on offer. 12 of the rooms share a WC/shower room and kitchen. Residents can stay for up to two years with an allocated Housing Support Officer. Chalvey Hostel offers its residents free Wifi, a residents’ lounge, 24 hour staffing, a training room with computers and a residents’ council. Phoenix House
Phoenix House is a 10-bedroom house for young people aged 16-17 coming out of looked-after care. Each resident has their own room with access to shared facilities. The house has a 24-hour staffing in place including waking nights’ staff cover. Every resident is allocated a support worker who is there to help, support and guide the young person in developing and acquiring skills for independent living. Residents cook their own meals and are encouraged to use the communal lounge and other shared facilities. Young people stay for up to two years or more, after which they move on; sometimes with the option of being offered at Chalvey Hostel. YMCA Rodney House & Langdown

YMCA is the landlord of the supported living schemes at Rodney Place in Walton on Thames and Langdown Place East Molesey.
Rodney Place has four houses with up to five residents per house. Langdown Place has four houses with up to six residents per house. All personal care and support needs are met by Surrey County Council, who provide 24 hour support where required. Each house provides residents with their own bedroom, with communal kitchen, living spaces and bathrooms. Each house has a garden, and locations are based in quiet residential locations with access to local shops, leisure, and recreational outlets.
These are different to our other supported housing in that we host Surrey County Council’s supported living programme and we take care of the buildings.
Young Person's Projects

YMCA St Paul’s Group provides supported accommodation to young people aged 16-21 at two specific sites in Slough and Walthamstow. These young people are referred to us by the council.
We support at risk, vulnerable homeless young people. We offer them accommodation as well as tailored support in 1-2-1 sessions, group sessions and group support.
Our aim is to support these young people to focus on their strengths, to build confidence in themselves, to create positivity, and to find options and choices for them in their lives.
What to expect
Support can include managing benefits and debt, how to develop independent living skills, looking for education, training and employment or volunteering, referrals to relevant agencies for mental health, drug or alcohol use and guidance in securing permanent accommodation. We also have a mother and baby unit that supports young mothers to acquire positive parenting skills.
We provide targeted and universal support to single people aged 18 -35 years, in housing need, individuals who are homeless, vulnerable and/or at risk, people living with mental illness, learning disabilities or recovering from substance misuse or those who are fleeing domestic violence as well as young mothers and baby.
Our Housing & Support Officers are able to provide support in the following areas (not an exhaustive list):
- Give advice and information on budgeting and managing money
- Accessing appropriate health care, counselling/support groups
- Accessing education, training, employment and volunteering opportunities.
- Assistance is also given with benefit claims as well as managing their welfare benefits
- job search and involvement in social activities both within and outside of the hostel.
- Assistance with resettlement is provided as part of the support programme.
Housing & Support Officers work with the client to produce a person-centred Support plan, placing the client’s views at the centre, and using the Outcomes Star.

YMCA is committed to ensuring that residents have a real say in the on-going management and development of the Housing and Accommodation services. Resident’s forums and resident’s surveys are hold regularly.
The Association’s complaint policy and procedure ensures that our customers are listened to and valued. It also ensures that we are accountable to our residents for the quality of service being delivered.
