Celebrated on September 21st, International Day of Peace annually connects all of humanity in a commitment to Peace above all, and to contribute to building unity worldwide. The UN General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, through observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire.
This year’s theme Cultivating a Culture of Peace is encouraging ideas of peace, the culture of peace, need to be cultivated in the minds of children and communities through formal and informal education, across countries and generations.
As an inclusive charity based on Christian values, YMCA St Paul’s Group is dedicated to transforming communities so all young people can belong, contribute and thrive. Each of us has a responsibility to create a more just, equitable, and peaceful society and empower generations to come to act as social agents and advocate for those in need.
